The Wonder Years...
As students enter grades 6-8 and reach their teenage years, the world, as they see it, changes. At Jenison Christian School, teachers understand these wonder years and the curriculum is designed to reach the students where they are right now, and prepare them for the years to come.
The curriculum includes a solid base of core subjects, including math, social studies, language arts and science. There are also opportunities to discover interests and participate in exploratory courses. It's a well-defined, thorough, yet flexible curriculum taught from a Biblical perspective.
Additional opportunities for the students include:
- 7th and 8th grade service projects
- 6th grade camp
- Involvement in science fairs
- Drama
- Honors Choir
- Concert & Jazz Band
- General music, art and physical education classes
- An extensive library along with experienced and resourceful librarians
- A computer lab that's continuously upgraded with new software and technology
- Leadership through student council
- Athletic teams and events in a variety of sports
- Involvement in chapel
