Middle School
Middle School is a time of transition for students. It is a unique time of testing to see where their place is in God's world. Because of this, it is a high priority to provide a stable, nurturing environment for young adolescents where they feel loved by God and others. Each student is assigned an advisory group to help build community and provide individual advocacy for each student.
The Middle School provides a departmentalized program where teachers instruct in their area of expertise. The curriculum includes a solid core of subjects, including Bible, language arts, math, science and social studies. Students who excel in mathematics may take Algebra I during their 8th grade year.
All middle school students are provided instruction in art, computers, music (band or choir) and physical education. In addition, numerous exploratory experiences, such as drama, newspaper, community service, and environmental issues are offered.
The middle school student's life is balanced out with service and leadership experiences as well as various field trips to enrich student's learning.
