Preschool
Jenison Christian Preschool helps children develop an assurance of God's love and encourages a loving response to God and others.
Jenison Christian Preschool's curriculum offers a Christ-centered emphasis designed to engage children in educational activities as their young minds discover the world around them. Our emphasis is on developmental learning that provides a foundation for formal education. The program is available to children beginning at the age of three.
Time to Discover
JCS Preschool provides an opportunity for children to play individually or in small groups in a wide variety of learning centers that include books on tape, computer, dramatic play, physical activities, sand play, painting, art table, discovery table, unit blocks, games, and more.
Time to Celebrate God's Love
JCS Preschool weaves faith into every aspect of life and learning. The children take special time each school day to learn about God's love and care for them as well as Jesus' life and teachings through Bible stories and interactions with Christian teachers. They also learn songs about God's amazing love and respond in praise to Him. The children talk to God through prayer and have the opportunity to pray with the group and realize how much He wants to be our best friend.
Time to Learn Together
Each week, the children work as a group to explore an interesting theme through children's literature, poems and rhymes, music and early science, and math activities. Activities may include: stories, poems and rhymes, songs, discovering God's amazing world, counting and measuring, and math graphs. Children are exposed to letter sounds as they meet Zoo-Phonics friends.
Time to Enjoy More
Jenison Christian Preschool offers creative and fun field trips throughout the school year. Additional activities include gym and playground time, as well as special classroom visits from community service leaders. Story Kits are a popular activity that preschoolers take home to share with their families.
