I am always amazed and humbled by the gifts our Lord and Savior has given me. Because of these blessings, I am able to serve my family, my friends and perfect strangers, as a husband, father, grandfather, family member and firefighter. One of my joys is working at JCS and taking care of kids as a food handler and in any other way I can. I am truly blessed to be able to do this.
I was born and spent the first 49 years of my life in a small town in Northeast Iowa called Cresco. Tanya and I were married in 2003 and in 2014 Tanya took a new job and we moved to Jenison. We have 2 grown children, 2 children at home and 4 grandchildren. I am a stay-at home dad and a Georgetown Township Firefighter as well as working at JCS. During the last 3 years spent in Cresco I was the coordinator for the Feeding America backpack program at the local Public and Christian schools. It was during this time that I learned just how prevalent childhood hunger is across the nation. That is why I am passionate about making sure kids get at least one nutritional meal a day at school.
THREE FUN FACTS:
- I have had many fun and interesting jobs. An Automotive technician, a farmer, a tool and die maker, a construction worker, a stay-at-home dad and a firefighter.
- I enjoy restoring old cars and tractors.
- I love to cook!
