FAITH STATEMENT
Psalm 129:11 "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well." God has given every single one of us, as His children, unique talents and abilities. Every one of us is made in His image and I believe we are all called to glorify and reflect Him in all that we think, say and do. This also means showing Christ love in all that we do and in our interactions with others. It's a joy to be teaching at a school where we can do this and learn and grow with fellow members of the body of Christ.
BIOGRAPHY
I grew up going to Heritage Christian School and Covenant Christian School before attending Hope College. I graduated from Hope majoring in Special Education (K-12) with an emphasis on Learning Disabilities as well as a K-8 General Education endorsement. I taught at Heritage Christian School for 6 years (3 years as a 4th grade teacher and 3 years as a Special Education teacher/director of Special Education) before having my daughter. My daughter now attends preschool here at JCS and both of us love being a part of the JCS community.
THREE FUN FACTS:
- I'm 6 feet and 5 inches tall and it is one of the most common questions I get asked.
- I love watching football, especially the Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions.
- I played basketball and volleyball in college before getting injured.
