BIOGRAPHY
I grew up in Grandville, Michigan, attending Grandville Christian and Calvin Christian Schools. Upon completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Music Education from Calvin College in 1991, I moved to Southern California to teach grades 5-12 band for Valley Christian Schools. After earning an M.A. in Historical Musicology from UCLA, I taught band, orchestra, and choir at Corona del Mar High School. Since 1998, I have been teaching band, choir, and general music at Jenison Christian School.
My wife Betsy and I have three adult sons, all of whom are actively involved in music.
