Jenison Christian students in grades 2nd-5th are invited to join the school running club. Students are encouraged to run because God blessed us with bodies that move. Students learn to set and attain a goal, promote a healthy lifestyle, and build community. The goal of the running club is to run in the Jenison Memorial Day 5K race sponsored by Kenowa AMBUCS, an organization that promotes mobility and independence for people with disabilities.
Students in grades 3rd-8th grade who have an interest in playing board games are invited to be a part of Games Club. The club meets every other Monday after school during the winter months from 3:30 to 4:45. Every session opens with devotions and then time to play board games with other students.
ASL (American Sign Language) Club
Students in grades K-8th grade learn to sign praise and worship songs as a wonderful way to glorify our Father. The club meets every other Monday after school during the winter months from 3:30 to 4:45.
Robotics Club is an after school club opportunity for students in 4th-8th grade who want to have fun while learning how to program robots to race, to sense color/light, and many other fun tasks. 4th - 6th Grade Robotics meets on Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:30PM and runs from for 6 weeks (February - March). 7th - 8th Grade Robotics is an EOCS (Eastern Ottawa Christian Schools) combined team that meets from September - December at Hudsonville Christian School.
Jenison Christian partners with Allendale Christian to provide a ski club for students in 6th-8th grade. Being a part of the ski club gives students a reduced rate on ski rentals and lift tickets and even a free ski lesson. The club skis at Bittersweet Ski Resort in Otsego, MI. It is a great opportunity for students to get a taste for a popular winter sport and get to know students from another feeder school. Discount tickets are also available to any JCS family interested.
