Eric DeVries

I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe that He is the only way to eternal life through His grace and love shown on the cross. In my relationship with Christ, I often think of my sanctification. Only, through the work of Jesus, He will make me more and more like His perfect self every day. As I strive to know Him, I will become more and more sanctified. As Jesus has changed my life and continues to change me, I hope and pray for students to see their own sanctification as they strive to know Jesus more and more every day!

 

I grew up in Allendale, MI and went to Allendale Christian School through middle school. I went on to graduate from Unity Christian and then Grand Valley University with a degree in Secondary Education and Group Social Studies. Following college, I took a job as a Youth Director at Searchlight Ministries in Jamestown, MI. I led the middle school and high school youth groups at Searchlight, and I led Young Life at Riley Street Middle school. I worked at Searchlight for 4 years and then I came to JCS in 2018. I am married to my wife Lindsey who I met at Unity Christian. We have one beautiful daughter named Josie and one crazy dog named Maize. We live right here in Jenison and love this community!
