Julia Doornbos

Psalm 118:24 says “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Each day is a gift from God with new opportunities and keeping that in mind each morning is important. I look at this is a blessing and am thankful for each day that God gives us. However, it is also a challenge from God to pay attention to what He has planned for me each day and be open to His plans.

 

I was born in Villa Park, IL but lived in Michigan, Texas, Washington, and British Columbia before then moving to Grand Rapids, MI. I attended Calvin College and received my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education. After graduation, I taught for a couple of years and then worked at Spectrum Health for nearly 10 years, primarily at their Help Desk. My husband and I live in Jenison and I am thrilled to work at Jenison Christian School as it is such a great community.
