Melissa Ensing

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. This verse gives me great comfort, because I know whatever I go through in life, God is with me and working everything together for my salvation. I don’t need to fear because I’m God’s child, and He loves me. God knows what’s ahead and prepares me for what’s in store. God is good, even in (especially in) the challenging times. 

 

I grew up in Jenison, MI, and I am a JCS graduate. I graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on reading and math. I taught fourth grade in Phoenix, AZ until my husband and I started our family. Jeff and I have three children: Aeris, Leo, and Lyra. After being a stay at home for several years, I joined the JCS team. I love helping children learn, and I’m excited to see what God has in store for me at Jenison Christian!
