I believe that I am a child of God and created in His image. He loves me and offers me undeserving grace. I am so excited to be a part of the Jenison Christian School family and to have the unique opportunity to teach students in a place where faith and learning are inseparable. I desire to continually grow in my relationship with Christ, and it is my prayer that each of my students will know God as their Lord and Savior.
I grew up in Holland, Michigan and attended Calvin College where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language endorsement. In fall 2019, I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a master's degree in literacy studies. I have lived and taught in Mississippi, Indiana, Illinois, and now reside in Michigan. When not teaching, I love spending time outdoors hiking and exploring with my husband and two sons.
