Payton Ponstein

I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he has given us the blueprints of how we are to live for Him in the Bible. Jesus commands us to make disciples of all nations and teach them to obey his decrees. I believe that all Christians can do this no matter what position they are in. For me, I intend to stir a hunger and passion in my students until their hearts are on fire for him.

 

God’s mission for me has always been right here in West Michigan. I was raised in Jenison, graduating from Jenison Christian and Unity Christian. I moved out to Holland to attend Hope College, and I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a major in Mathematics. In addition, I have a Master's degree through Dordt College in Teacher Leadership. I am married to my beautiful wife Rachel, and we recently just had our firstborn son, Zion. I’ve been blessed with an amazing family. I have four younger brothers (one from El Salvador) and awesome parents.
