Sharon Thrasher

I am believer in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior at an early age. I know that I am uniquely created by God, in His image, and am saved by grace. I strive to serve the Lord in everything I do and to glorify Him. I believe God has called me to be a teacher, and I love that I can share my faith with others and help my students to know and trust in Him. It brings me so much joy to watch my students’ faith in Christ blossom and grow throughout the year! I especially love to hear their precious voices sing praise songs to God! 

 

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs where I attended Timothy Christian School K-12. From there I graduated from Trinity Christian College with a degree in Elementary Education and minors in Special Education and Theology. I went on to teach 3rd Grade for two years, Kindergarten for 10 years, and aided in various Chicagoland Christian Preschools for 4 years. My husband, Travis, and I have three daughters: our eldest, Kylie, and our twin girls, Mackenzie and Brianna, who attend Jenison Christian. I feel so blessed to be part of the JCS team and to work in such a loving, caring, Christ-centered environment!
