Lea Oosterheert

I am a child of God! I believe in Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior and strive to live for Him each day. I love growing my relationship with Him through prayer, Bible study, worship, and community with fellow believers.  I find great comfort and direction in God’s Holy word, The Bible. I consider it a tremendous joy and responsibility to teach His children every day!

 

I grew up in West MI and graduated from Unity Christian High School. My teaching degree is from Calvin College, and I have a Masters in Reading and Language Arts from GVSU. Prior to directing the RTI program at JCS, I taught 2nd grade at Calvin Christian and served as a literacy coach in Wyoming and Grand Rapids Public Schools. I am passionate about developing Christ-centered community and helping all students succeed.
