Joe Oosterheert

My favorite verses are from Ephesians 2:8-9 which say, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” I love knowing that by God’s grace I am saved and I am His chosen child! Living with that comfort allows me to share that wonderful promise with others, especially kids!

 

I grew up in West Michigan and attended Calvin Christian Schools before graduating with my teaching degree from Hope College. I also have a Master’s Degree from Grand Valley in Educational Leadership. I taught for 11 years in local public schools and spent 5 years as the Principal at Lamont Christian School before coming to JCS. When I am away from school, I love to spend time outdoors and traveling with our 4 kids and my wife, Lea. I enjoy hunting, running, and watching most sports, especially Michigan football and basketball!
