Jacob Andringa

I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior. That he died and rose again to free me from my sins and bring me into eternity. That there is nothing that I can do to separate me from the love if God and that makes me want to live for him each day. My favorite part of scripture is the story of the prodigal son. The image of God running toward me , embracing me and welcoming me back into his family despite the times I may fail him encourages me throughout my life. I am blessed to be able to share my passion for Christ with the students here at JCS!

 

I grew up in Holland, MI and went to Borculo Christian through middle school. Then I went to Unity Christian High School and Calvin College where I graduated with a degree in secondary education and social studies. Following college, I was a long term sub at City Side Middle School in Zeeland then a paraprofessional for two years there as well. I was then called to be the Director of Student Life at Haven Christian Reformed Church in Zeeland leading both the middle school and high school youth group. I was deeply blessed during my 2 years at Haven but I felt called to pursue my passion of teaching leading me to this job at JCS! I am excited to be part of this community and be part of God's plan here at JCS!
