I believe Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior, and that He died and rose again in order to save mankind from eternal death. I believe in the tenets of the Apostle's Creed and the universal church. I wholeheartedly believe Christ uses His followers to restore our world, and that it is our job as teachers to help our students become the best followers of Christ they can be. I am excited to be a part of that mission at JCS.
I was born near Detroit, but I grew up in Rockford, Michigan. I attended Calvin College, where I graduated with a bachelors degree in History. I then spent four years in the military, where I worked on drones in both New York and Afghanistan. I then went back to Calvin to get my teaching certification, and then spent four years teaching social studies at Oakland Christian School in Auburn Hills. In my free time I like to watch movies, play board games, and go to the beach.
  1. I refuse to have condiments on my hamburgers or hotdogs.
  2. I really like listening to K-pop.
  3. I once had dinner in a boat on top of three skyscrapers.
