Emma Gontjes

I believe that I am a child of God and created in His image. I believe all humans are sinful, but saved through His grace and sacrifice on the cross. I strive to glorify God in my everyday life and share His grace with others. As a teacher, I want my students to experience God's gracious love and help them find different ways they can use their gifts to share His love. 

 

 I grew up in Caledonia, Michigan and attended Dutton Christian School and South Christian High School. I then attended Calvin University where I graduated in the winter of 2022 with a double major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education and a minor in mathematics. Since graduating, I have worked at Dutton Christian School and AnchorPoint Christian School as a paraprofessional and 5th maternity leave teacher. 

 

1. I love traveling and have been to 14 different countries and more than half of the United States.
2. Math is my absolute favorite subject.
3. I loved dancing when I was younger and even danced in college.
